Id rather there be a training program that you would have to complete before being allowed to play on line.

You would rather be a program? I'm lost here.   :uhoh

I don't know what you are having a problem with. Maybe I can word it different.

I would like it so when you install Aces High II you would have to complete 'Basic Training' before you can access 'online mode'. So that when you sign up a computer can teach you how to do basic things like take off, landing, firing at a drone, bombing, rearm, driving a tank, etc. It would also keep the trainers in the TA free to train people on more complicated things like ACM.

Spend an hour or two a day in the TA and watch how many of the people asking how to do any of those things.

Oh...I see what your saying, probably a good idea to have a special basic training session available offline, but it should be optional.

I don't have that much free time to just spend 2 hours a day watching how many people ask for help, and I don't really care, that's what the training are is for. Actually I don't have a problem with people asking how to do things in the main area, even I do that sometimes when I have to fly some unknown aircraft on a mission, are you going to tell me to go to TA and ask them?

Stephen, I think you should really lower your standards concerning newbs, they are just begining to learn to play, many people are still learning when they have been playing for six months, maby not learning such basic stuff or learning as much, but still learning. Unless you were an ace the first time you ever played or at least in the first month then lay off the newbs,  And keep these guys off me is a pretty comon thing to say when there are enemy fighters around and you are moving at ten mph, or even if there are only tanks on shore. They might not know to weave back and forth to make aiming harder.
I saw a newb driving strait up to the beach, someone manning the .50 for all he was worth untill it ran dry then he switched to the .30, he even downed a couple of fighters with that pop gun. I <S> him, he has the agressivness that will make him a good fighter pilot someday.. I told him to zig zag to throw off the gunners aim and anothe newb blew up right next to him. He replied, "thank you sir, I owe you one. <S>", now tell me that's not someone we all can relate to at one point or another. :salute

There is no need to put a scarlet "Newb" on any new players.  It is hard enough to learn this games ins and outs without a "kick me" note taped on your back.  Be as helpful and as courteous as possible to new players.  They may actually provide you a good future squaddie or a fun foe to fight!

Did you ever get killed by the same guy twice in a row? Take off fly for a few min, get shot down, take off fly for a few min, and get shot down again.
If not perhaps one of these kind gentleman would provide you with such an example.

Last time Stephen ran into me, I was making him do that repeatedly.  My impression afterwards was that he was a new player that got himself over his head by talking smack.

I agree with Nemesis, because, I am that kind of a newbie.  I can barely do anything right and any help that I can get is appreciated.  Even though that I have been playing for at least 8 months, I can't do anything right. So don't expect us newbies to be amzing superstar pilots.  Because we're newbies, that's what we DON'T But what I can't stand are the newbies that have played for a very short time and start talking big, I mean, REALLY big (all caps, insults without ground, both in conjunction).  They give us well behaved newbies a bad name.  I agree with the orginal idea but only if only the Trainers and veterans capable of training are allowed to see it.  It's been many a time that I've seen newbies being harrased.  It just makes me SICK to see that, especially young newbies against older veterans.

Think about this:
If we had no noobs there would be no easy kills, people would get mad.
If we didn't have Spitfire's the people that have trouble flying other planes would leave the game and make it fin for no one else.
If we didn't have people that made this game "worse" there wouldn't be a game at all.

Without them the world wouldn't go around.
