<== Extent of whine. My squad encountered an invincible flak panzer last night. This flak panzer survived numerous IL2 strikes, rocket strikes, and did I forget to mention 80% of all of my M8 rounds both HE and AP at point blank. This flak panzer midway through this onslaught drove right in front of my turret and tracked me with his pintle gun which was even more invincible than the vehicle itself. This brings up the inevitable question, why does my flak panzer explode, turret stop working, tracks fall off and beam me up Scotty to the tower, with the slightest of injury
There's your problem right there . . . If it had a pintle gun, it was not a flak panzer, ergo your problem . . . sounds more like a Tiger.
So wheres the film?
Probably meant the hull gun.
I knew what he meant, but sometimes it's more fun to point out mistakes with a bit of humor than to say "Silly noob, it is a hull gun, not a pintle gun."But at least he knows it is a "turret" and not a "turrent." Not sure what kind of linguistic idiocy has taken hold of today's average AHer, but I have seen and heard "turrent" more often lately than simple randomness would generally indicate.Hmm -- was that a hijack?
You can turret a Whirble with ease. Heck, you can turret 'em with .303's.But it takes a bomb almost to send one to the tower. (though an IL2 will pop one)Wish HTC would tweak both the whirble damage model and the new T34.I have laid into a T34 with 50+ rounds from a manned ack before and did zip.Easier to kill a Tiger in a manned gun than a T34, which seems a bit "off" to me.Sure I "get" the sloped armor and shoot them at "x" spot, but I always thought a Tiger would hold up to a 37mm better than a T34.I remember when it 1st came out you just had to shoot CLOSE to a T34 to pop it's turret. I think HTC might have tweaked it a bit too much the other way.
