gv drone
« on: April 11, 2009, 09:18:25 PM »
Since bombers have drones because they're dead-meat without them, or say people say; they ought not to be bothered with teamwork.  I would like a wirbel drone for my tank since my tank is also dead meat to Il-2s without wirbels.  What's good for the goose... ;)

How about a drone supply truck or jeep that you can call out when you get turreted/tracked? :pray I really dislike having to rely on other people to help a brother out in his time of need. Screaming like a little girl who lost their dolly makes me look bad in front of the troops, you know ?

Can I get a +1 ? :aok

Oooh, I like it.  You get a wirbel drone and an Sdk drone that can carry gv supplies or troops.  Since there's a precedent for not requiring teamwork for effectiveness, everyone should agree with this wish. :devil

All your ideas suck. Mine are better.

Okay how about this. You get a drone plane of your choice that flies in circles 5k above your tank. When you see an IL2 coming in you switch out of the tank and into your plane. When your done shooting down the IL2 you can switch back to you tank. At which time your drone plane goes back to flying circles above you.

Hmmmmm, I kinda like the idea of being able to 'summon' and unmanned 'auto jeep' from the nearest field or spawn with supplies. Maybe limited to 1 per sortie or something. Would make it a little easier for those of us who can't always get on at busy times.

I like this idea I would much rather see them get rid or the drone concept with bombers and make the tail guns more realistic. But hey that won’t happen so I’m on bored +1

Larry, the option to have an airplane drone instead of a wirbel to protect your tank is a fine idea.

-------------

I like this idea I would much rather see them get rid or the drone concept with bombers

But that would require players to organize themselves into bomber-boxes or find fighter-escort if they wanted a survivable chance in the main arena.  Isn't that asking too much?

Maybe we could add tank drones to our fighters aswell, so your tank-drone can take out the Wirbels while being engaged in a furball.

Your "rapier" style of making your point is a nice contrast to my own "20 pound sledgehammer" style. I score the original post an 8.5 for style. (Next time work on the fine art of really pissing people off without actually saying anything untoward.)

Only kinda of gv's that should get drones are ones that would be taken out easly, such as early model shermans and other piss poor tanks.
