Hell yeah!  Enjoy your time in the sun.  I'm going to Calfornia in June.  I can't wait to see mountains again.

Stop by Morgan Hill sometime, I'll be there for another 87 years, until i become 100.  ;)
Try to keep your car locked, windows closed, and a steering wheel lock. You can't imagine the horrors that can happen to a nice car like that; at least you can't imagine it in LA.

Thx for the tip, but I lived at the corner of Crenshaw & 48th for 3 years, drove all over as a roofing contractor. I know a thing or two about L.A. bassin. :aok I only had one week, not much time to stop say hi, next time :frown:

That is a 1972 Ford Gran Torino, probably a 351 Cleveland although possibly a 429 with the GT scoop.

I had 2 of the 72 Rancheros  ;)

One of the all time favorite cars I've owned.

Looks like a 72 Gran Torino Sport.   I'm going with 351C.

I'm not a fan of a lot of Torino's, but the 72 Sports are gorgeous.

The car came with a 302, we stroke it to a 347, detroit locker rear end, and a biffed up C4 trany. Car's HP not to crazy at 400 ish at the crank. Sounds great, fun to drive. I'll post a vid in a day or 2 for the engine music :pray when back home.

Posted that before, but that's how the car looked like when we picked her up from 15 years in the desert:

If you're coming to the South California part, good luck in seeing the mountains through all the smog.
