I've looking to buy an Airsoft, and the needed items for the airsoft field I have chosen to go to.
The website of the field is located in CA, in the bay area.
www.sequoiaairsoft.com

All needed information as to what type of field.
I have gotten some small but highly needed advice and help.

The website he gave me was, by my newbie rating, great and packed.
www.kapowwe.com

I chose the

        G608-G36c   Jin Gong JG G608 G36c High-Grade AEG Combo (metal gearbox 365 fps w/ .20g)
      $129.99   $129.99
   jg-g36-mag   Jin Gong ( JG ) G36 G608 470rds High-Cap Magazine
      $16.95   $16.95
   sig-228-airsoft   *** SPECIAL *** ONLY $5 w/ any order - Licensed SIG 226/228 Spring Action Pistol
      $5.00   $5.00
sig-228-spring-mag   Softair Sig 228 Spring Magazine
      $5.00   $5.00
SDMASK3   TSD Sports Full Face Airsoft Mask
      $24.95   $24.95
1-1-593   AIRSOFT MAGAZINE SPEED LOADER BB Speedloader
      $6.95   $6.95
tac-vest-ran   Black Tactical Vest w/ Pistol Holster
      $39.99   $39.99

The total was $228, i estimated $230 + $20 shipping and came to a conclusion that it was going to be $250+.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what site might have better quality, lower or same price, gear and guns?

Thank you,
-FYB

Oh don't worry about the softness, I've felt a 455fps sniper from about 40ft. and it wasn't really a non-skin penetration pellet.  :lol
Left me with a horrible inch long bruise that swelled and hurt like a, well, you know.  ;)

Unless you're getting a full metal gun, or the gun you have has a great history of reliability, I'd be careful. A lot of people buy the cheapest thing, and it breaks a month after they get it. (that's happened to me plenty of times  :lol  )

ATM, I got a pretty good M-14 Airsoft gun, fully automatic, with a scope mount (but I never use it since anyways) and a camo-stock.

Make sure you find a good website with lots of reviews, and see what other people think. (also, try and get one with the most reviews, don't go for 1 or 2 reviews that say "it's awesome!" go for something that's like 50+ reviews, almost all saying it's a decent gun)
No one knows what the future may bring.

You're in the center of American airsoft, man!
Kapowwe is decent, but airsoftgi.com is probably your best bet. Great service, prices, and selection. And any order over $100 gets free shipping :) Might not matter, though, as it's in the SoCal area IIRC. I think AEX (Airsoft Extreme) has a store around there as well.

JG's in general are decent, their G36 supposed to be especially good. If you're into AK's, DBoys (Kalash) and CYMA make some exceptional pieces as well (the DBoys are mostly steel, part zinc alloys, and I believe the CYMA's are all steel). Both the DBoys and recent CYMA's are clones of the VFC AK series, which are extremely accurate in dimensions and construction, to the point where you can use pretty much all real steel non-receiver parts with little or no modification.

Keep in mind that most rifles under ~$250 are generally clones. They're copies (sometimes not exact, which can really screw you up) of guns designed and produced in Japan or Taiwan (usually by Tokyo Marui), and then manufactured with cheaper materials and lower QC in China. There are obvious problems that arise here... sometimes you can get lucky and end up with a really nice, solid shooter, but other times you can get the same model from the same factory and have constant problems with it.
Tokyo Marui, LCT, VFC Tanaka, Maruzen, ICS, Western Arms, and others are all higher quality pieces from Japan and Taiwan. JG, Dboys, AGM, and CYMA are all clones with acceptable quality, but again there's a considerable lemon rate. There's also a large amount of companies (such as Well) that you don't want to touch with a 10-foot pole.

As far as gear goes I'd find a Surplus store in your area. Cheap military grade equipment- you won't get the newest MOLLE PC and Multicam or whatever, but an ALICE harness and US woodland is more than good enough.

Contrary to 1Plus's advice, I wouldn't even look at customer reviews on retail sites, they're generally worthless. You can check out the reviews on websites such as arniesairsoft.co.uk though.

That www.airsoftgi.com thing is amazing! $135 for a high performance MK36 with 360fps with .2g's and an accurate range of 120ft. out to 150ft. Thanks!!!

The UTG Mk 96? Their alright (a friend of mine's cousin has one). I wouldn't suggest you buy anything bolt-action until you play for a while. You want to find something that suits your playing style, not the other way around.
I'm an AK guy myself ;)

Oh, there is a MK 36... the only ones I see though are Ares's (formerly known as Star). They're cheaper than they used to be but they're still not $130...
Yuck and they burn out the H&K trades as well.

This depends, I'm looking to maintain a small amount of spending in airsoft. $300.00 at most. Are you positive your friend can tell me what site might be best? Tell him my email is monstermonstruo@yaho.com, I'll send an email soon to ask a couple of needed questions.

Thanks,

I'm highly worried; i see this JG MK36, 360fps, 120ft. acc, 470 high-cap mag, Gearbox TYPE 3 (what the noodles is that suppose to mean?), and a SMALL BATTERY. Unfortunately, there is a strict 400fps and lower at my field; I know, what do i mean, i stated it is 360fps, well, it says 360fps on the page but the reviews say 400 - 410fps. I'm afraid it will go above 400 when they chronograph it. Any suggestions?

what they chronograph at the field will screw you up.  :aok
That's the problem, i wouldn't of asked if they didn't chronograph it at the field everytime you come.

V.3 gearbox is just the gearbox type. Since Tokyo Marui designed the first 'modern' AEG in 1991, the mechanical gearbox that builds up the air for the BB has been modular. That is to say, you can take a gearbox from say a G36, and put it in an AK (which also uses a V.3 gearbox) with minimal modification to the box. The V.3 is probably the strongest of the... 8 or so.

With the FPS you can either install a weaker spring or leave it overnight or two with the piston drawn (leave off the trigger in mid cycle). The former would be preferable.

BTW you can get some pretty decent capacity  small type batteries. In fact, I would suggest that you pick up an intellect brothers battery with your order, as Chinese batteries are usually crap.
