LOL.  Great story.   I have a five week old and she absolutely hates the computer room.  The second I take her in there she starts crying.  She must know how much her daddy dies in there….

Here she is when she is not in the study...

she looks a lot like I did when Batfink shot my 262 down last night when I was just flying by to say hello....   :cry

I bet you had something to do with that  :D

Well, maybe a little! Actualy, I decorated his room in race cars, with lots of pics of Vettes, ALMS racecars, World Challenge, as well as plenty of framed pics of his old man wheeling his old race cars around to two regional road race championships (SCCA and NASA). He loves cars, still, but he found a lot of my old aviation mags from when I used to fly and the same bug that bit me years ago got him by the rear end. It's in our DNA. I'm sure we're all a different sub-species in actuallity!

It's WAR boys...don't be a popsicle about it....scrape up your plane...learn a little more and go back at it...consider yourself lucky...when shot down in the real war you're burired...if they found enough of you to bury!! Have fun...it's what it's it's meant to be!

I had a good wingie for a long time in my oldest son Andrew.  It's been 3 and a half years since I lost him at 21 in a car wreck.  He was a good AH stick.  Matthew is 8 months old today and I'm sure he'll end up winging old Dad some day too.

This was Drew and I back in the old days of AH.  Some great memories :)

I've  a boy of 2, if he is in the room with me he wants to take control of my plane...(proably do a better job than me  :D)
if i can fend him off the joystick he starts on the keyboard or throttle...
gets confusing but he sure is keen...<S> to the eager co pilots out there
( the Mrs is droppin the next in 2months time so i will have to learn to juggle too)

(Image removed from quote.)

Flights such as these never end...they are kept alive as was in ww1 and ww2 with love and rememberance by those left behind as they went forward to the next level.
Many were lost then for one reason or another, which then, as does now seemed so senseless and unfair.
Keep their memory alive with your endurance, your passion, which you passed to him, and your love of life which you obviously have.
No thoughts of sorrow for you...only wishes of the best for your (and my) remaining time here as well as congrats for , I'm sure, 21 wonderfull years!
Snarglie
P.S. If I've offended U in any way with my comments, please forgive me...It's the only thing I could say.

I hope AH is still around when I have a son. After we get tired of playing catch (football or baseball... depending on the time of year) in the backyard we can come in and wing together for a bit in 38's, before wife/mom ack gets one hit kills on us.  :D

That's only 20-25 years away...  :lol
