Anyone that allows Iran, North Korea, and (in the past) Iraq to do whatever they want in violation of international treaties in exchange for money is definitely a political organization.Both condemn and pass a resolution against the pirating being done, like anything else the UN has passed it won't have any teeth, but it may encourage at least a couple countries to start cooperating again.
Makes sense as not all EU members are NATO members. We are also sending a frigate down there in august under the same EU flag but we are not members of EU but we are members of NATO.
