Aces High, Single Sortie Kill Record?
« on: March 21, 2000, 12:07:00 PM »
Ok guys who out there has the highest single sortie kill record?

I ask this, becuase it seems like our two newest squadron members (**MOL**) have been outdoing themselves.

About a week ago, Westy stunned us all by flying a 11 kill mission in a P-38L.

I guess all the ata boys, and pats on the back made Xmab jealous, because in the very next night he flew a tie with Westy by doing his own 11 kill Mission in a F4U-1C (I think), and lawndarted while going for another tasty bit of Spit V.

Now I know Jinx of The Flying Pigs, did 13 at the exact same time as Xmab at the same field. Because we were cheering them on over RW and our Country Channel.

Congratulations to all 3 of you guys, and a hearty <SALUTE>.

So what is the highest single Sortie kill record in Aces High?

It has to be while in production (no beta) to count out all those "gaming the game" bugs. It has to be in a fighter, and no landing behind the spawn points kills either. Otherwise, as long as you were in the air when you killed the other guy it counts. Fighter kills, bomber kills, rockets, cannons, MG's, and bombs. It all counts.

And it might help to have witness's   to back up any grandiose claims

Who wins the title?

I would guess mitsu had the highest. He was a great vulcher. And more remarkably was limited by the ammo loadout of a spit.

I believe MrAnza holds the record with 17 kills in a sortie.

I had a nice 14 kill vulchfest er... sortie one night.  The sad part is that I got about 10 assists too, just imagine if they had all been kills <G>

that was in a f4u-1c btw.  My best in my darling 190 a8 is 10 kills of which only 2 were vulches    The rest were good ACM kills ...

Then I have those weeks when I have only 2 or 3 kills by wednesday,  gotta love this sim

Yeah I've seen a few 17's think one was Tbolt. The best I've done without vulches was 13.

HEH don't forget the famous Lilly Boy with his 38 kill sortie in a B26.

Joe vs the volcano : 46 + kills

Verm, you should have asked for number of kills in sortie per plane type. Not all planes have the ability to land multi kill sorties.

No Hristo I said single Sortie

Not sit in the volcano and use a cheat bug to get all the kills. Thats also why I said "post beta".

I know this favors planes with big guns, lots of ammo, and good vulch ability, but I want to keep it simple

Its not like it is a scientific contest anyways.

I like the vulch kill award idea....
Say "a kill of a plane within 1 minute of it taking off" would be considered vultch ?
