Yet, ords are the first thing porked on every airfield, forcing the mud-movers to rely on cannon-equipped planes to strafe down buildings . . . but you want them penalized for doing so.
You also apparantly do not want attack planes to provide cover for anyone after their ords are jettisoned. How does that improve gameplay?
When ord is porked, there are several things to do when the base is being attacked by ground targets. (As if you didn't know)
Get some guys to re-supply while the others stay behind and attack the offenders with "attack planes" (Il2s,39s etc.)
Who's penalized?
You want to provide cover against air cons after you jettison ord? Do it. But the kills don't count towards your score.
After dropping ord from a bomber, I may be attacked by 5 or 6 (or more) air cons.
While running for my life, I may get lucky and shoot 1 or more of them down.
And while they will get credit for shooting down a few buffs while they are in "attack" mode at 15k+ ,I will not get credit for air to air kills I've made towards my bomber score, so what would be the difference between that and flying in attack mode and not counting air to air kills.
You're in "attack" mode.
Nothing.
Thats my point.
You want air to air kills to count towards your score? Fly in air to air fighter mode.
The best option would be what Krusty has suggested above.
Merge the Fighter and Attack catagories into a "new" category, combining them both.
Perfect!!
