F4U4 skins?

Is anyone working on any F4U-4 skins. It would be nice if there were more. :rock

Only pics I ever find of 4-Hogs didn't make it over in time to fight. sucks cause i found some of VF17 4-hogs

You're going to find a LOT of pics for Korea-era -4s, but not many from WWII. I believe VMF-224 was flying F4U-4s by war's end so that at least gives a squadron to look for.

As of July, 1945 the following squadrons were deployed in the PTO with at least 1 F4U-4 assigned

VF-6
VBF-86
VF-86
VBF-94
VBF-99
VMF-212
VMF-222
VMF-223

Same goes for the F4U-1C

VBF-5
VF-85
VMF-314
VMF-311
VMF-441

May help find some pictures if you can find unit histories

Yep.  Would have been a F4U-1D for those markings and time frame.  The danger of profiles :)

There is a profile of Ken Walsh's F4U-4 in the Corsair Aces... Osprey book.  You take the basic glossy dark blue and put 24 Japanese flags on it (or how ever many he had), and you've got yourself a new skin.
