dedicated scout plane
« on: April 20, 2009, 05:47:19 PM »
This kinda goes with the artty (artillery) thing, but it would be a good idea to have a dedicated scout plane which could take pictures other than screen shots that could be used as a tac map, you could click on a base or scroll through a list to bring up maps. It should also have artillery spotting button as a weapon, and have a list of alerts such as tank collum from S. to send to tanks or attack planes, or enemy planes or attackes from S to send to fighters or mobile AA. It could be something allong the lines of the piper cub or at least a plane with good ground view. It should be VERRRY manuverable, even more than the oscar as it is basicly unarmed and unarmored :pray  and should be armed with a 20mm hispanola :devil, or at least twin .50's :t  in the tail and have a large ammo capacity. It may not have been an plane that was designed to be armed but manny pilots did rig there planes with cannons or even bazookas , the weapons could be perked. I think it would be a good addition even if the artillery dosen't make it in, so plz give your oppinion but don't get to carried away by riping into this.

Nice replys guys, thnx for the support :aok, espesialy you MachFly, but can the Black Cat fly from ground bases? We really need an amphibious plane, it would be a great idea, I was talking more of the Piper Cub, but the cat sounds much better, the H8K would be nice to, but I still think it should be something light, relativly fast, and manuverable so as to out turn fighters !!!

If anything I'd like to see a couple scout planes (American, and one German maybe?) that are un-armed and since they are unarmed, they do not show up on dar. It would be a nice perk for those who want to spend time in it.
