He even pulled into a parking lot to get off the road.

 :lol

I know. I had to laugh when I saw that part.
He pulled it right in as if he were just stopping by to get something from the store.

Sounds like that plane was powered by a small chainsaw.

That pilot was amazingly lucky.

Flying that low over a populated area is dangerous and not to mention against the law.

Engine goes out and he only has a few seconds to decide where to put it down. In the end he picked a 4 lane road that amazingly didn't have any power lines OR cars. This video could have just as easily been a double fatality like so many others are.

BTW what kind of plane was that?

Snoop around the officer's club.  It was posted there two days ago.

Hey that's either a good pilot or he was lucky there was no cars on that section of the road.

Seems suspicious to me, Just so happens that the plane was set up for video inside and outside of the cabin before this engine out occured. Also the pilot never goes through his engine out checklist, and then it happens to have taken place super early in the morning when this road was empty...

Maybe its just me, but is anyone else suspicious that this was deliberate?

you can put those thoughtsright out of your heads.  An associate of mine is a former coworker of the pilot/CFI at the controls.  They were on the way to Sun 'n Fun ad the passenger is a professional photographer/videographer who has done numerous similar setups.  The airplane hadn't flown in quite some time and there was a blockage of the fuel filter that did not manifest itself during their test flights around the pattern.

No airplane damage and the airplane will be up flying again shortly.
