Talk about drive-through.

A very nicely executed emergency landing!

Nice.. I'm curious if anyone can tell what was wrong with the engine (if that's what the problem was)?  Why/how did it stop and restart like that?  Seems like a pretty critical factor in how this one played out.

Wow.. man that was amazing.  :O

I'm learning how to fly right now, and I surely hope I never have to do anything like that!

He even pulled into a parking lot to get off the road.

Amazing there were no power lines going across that 4-lane road.  All I saw were light poles.

I'm suprised his co-pilot didn't point out the Wendy's and say "Dude, let's grab a burger at the drive through".

It sounded like the engine was fine when it was running but just wasn't getting fuel.  He simply turned the key and restarted before what was certainly going to be crash at the end of that intersection.  They were very lucky to get that last bit of power out of it to line up with that 4 lane road.

Looked like the guy in the left seat knew what the cause was, as he was very sorry.  :uhoh

Brilliant, Doctor. (old rolleyes)

Awaiting a reply from someone who is looking at the airplane today undergoing repairs.  They were on their way to Sun 'n Fun.

it's florida, most cities have alot of their powerlines underground, for all the hurricanes and what have you.

Fuel Filter blockage.  Bolt the wings back on, clean up the fuel system and it'll be on its merry way.
