109g2 vs 109g6
« on: April 23, 2009, 12:41:21 PM »
So I started flying the g2/g6 recently. I think I have noticed the G6 is a little bit faster and there is a difference in their gun packages, though only the 20mm matter anyway. Can anyone go into more depth to the differences? I'm starting to like them both, not to mention they are great perk farmers. Thanks! <S>

The G6 is a overall better dogfighter because it's more stable. The G2 has a better climb rate, and top end speed.

I like the G6 better because of the stability. The added weight helps it IMO

I don't like the feel the weight in the g6 has on the nose. I feel like a sloth in that plane compared to the other 09's.

G6 is more stable, better guns, but I find the G2 a far more capable e fighter.

G6 has better (heavier) machine guns and better rear visibility with its Galland armour.
G2 is equal or better in all other aspects.

Yes many people have been telling people to fly the G2 before they fly the G6. Very good for training in a 109.

I would do it the other way around.

I Don't fly either much. The cockpit makes me claustrophobic. Feels like a cage and my SA suffers as it is. But enjoy it's a very lethal ride.

The G-2 is faster, turns better, climbs better accelerates better etc.- the only advantage the G6 has is that it's a bit more comfortable to fly, because of the added weight, and of course the MG131's that add that weight.

I think extra armor is adding more noticeable weight than the mg's.

Those mg's are good for a couple of close kills though.

The G6 is easily capable of beating any 109 unless the pilot is way outclassed. I upped it today a couple times and had no problem killing Spits, N1Ks, ponys, other 109s etc...
