Damage inspection
« on: April 24, 2009, 08:46:35 PM »
It would be cool if you could inspect the damage to your plane after you land.

If this is already possible, someone let me know?

Thanks

Once you're on the runway, hit [F3] zoom in, and pan around the aircraft with your hat switch.  Look for bullet holes/damage and talk with your hands...

CTRL-D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Hitting F8 after F3 is the easiest way to do it because it puts you in pan mode.
To each their pwn.

way to miss the point. . .

Actually, CTRL-D makes needing to physically inspect damage a MOOT point.

He wants to see the damage to the plane, it's exciting.  I've done this before, it's always fun to see how close that 20mm round was from clobbering your pilot or count the number of holes in your right wing.  Ctrl+D is about as exciting as a papercut.  Sometimes doing things the old fashioned way is fun for people, the relevance or "point" of something to someone is relative.

Not to seem, eh, negative? But with 16 posts, I'm betting they're more into finding out what's gotten clobbered, not what's almost been clobbered, or got pinged...

Anywho, there is ways to do it, it's been stated, nuff said.

Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
