One on One training
« on: April 25, 2009, 04:18:50 PM »
Hey all,

I've been a paying player of Aces High for about five months now (took 3 months off due to heavy university schedule). Two months ago I started trying to actually learn proper ACM. My aircraft of choice at the moment is the Spit8 - mostly because it came highly recommended from netaces.org as a good introductory plane.

Being that I currently live in Okinawa (GMT+9) I've been training under Spatula. In fact, I'm even a member of his squad at the moment - if that's any indication of how driven I am to learn. Training under Spatula has been great and I've learned more in the last month than in my previous four months combined, but his time has been limited to one session per week and I'm looking for someone (trainer or otherwise) who would be willing to setup some time to head to the TA with me to help me work on my technique between regularly scheduled training.

I'm well beyond the "luftberry" stage of development. I know, and can perform with some competency, many ACM moves and I think my merge is fairly solid. However I still have so much to learn. I routinely record and playback videos of my fights (both good and bad) but I can't tell for myself if there's something I could be doing better in regards to my control surfaces (etc...) that would help me squeeze out a bit more performance. Occasionally I find myself being out rolled by a plane that has no business being able to do so.

If you're a Spit8 jock, and you're willing to set up a time, please respond to this thread or send me a PM.

<S> all.
Tim

Haha. Why do I have a bad feeling about that smiley?  :noid

Who are you in-game, texasmom? Anyone I've flown with/against?

Hi tongs,

I'm moving out at the end of the week so I'll be out of action for a few.

Kazaa likes to show some guys the ropes if he has time for it.  We all seem rather busy these days.  :(
