I've swiped this link from Timber43's post check it out

http://www.simhardware.org/

Hasn't been updated in a while but some of the skill and attention to detail in the cockpits metal components are amazing all self fabricated must've taken forever.

1st off Texastc316 I would love to build you a Corsair , even 1 : 1 scale , Would take a little time though LOL but would be exactly correct in every detail . 2nd I would need more detailed plans than are shown to cut and punch out bulk heads and spars , things like that . The sheetmetal is no problem as I have full access to an English Wheel which is a large looking c clamp with dies in it to roll compound curves . 3rd where would we get a motor from ? . And a thousand more details . But I can say this the frame itself would be the first place I'd start . And I would draw it up in Solidworks sheetmetal so I could lay the parts out flat and then form them up .
Now Pervert that link is the bomb it has great info and lots of details . That guy is a genius really and he had thought of things before hand on that project .
But just imagine if you had a cockpit just to sit in and play would be awesome in itself .  lots of food for thought here guys .

It’s been a crazy dream of mine to talk someone into building ww2 aircraft again in large numbers. For me it’s a no-brainer, I think you could sell hundreds and hundreds of the things but then again I’m biased.
