Been Animl or Anim since 94-95ish in Air Warrior, and here. It's short for Animal because I have speeling issues. Mostly because I am insane, I finally broke free of the shackles and leashes.

I cuss, I fart, I smoke, I drink, I seldom bathe, and can usually be found slumped in a corner drunk and vomiting on myself.

In a dictionary, next to the word Dweeb is my picture.

I am always right, never forget it.

I have to admit, when I saw a post from "Major Woody" in a thread titled "Stories behind the names", I was a little nervous about reading it!  Nice one Animal!

Way back in AH1 I was Tern named after the Osprey bird of prey, but few folks understood that connection.  So a year into the game I changed to Spotter because I could tell what planes were around well before they were in icon range.

AHII came along about the time my eye sight changed and I went with Odee.  Just another mutt in the air.

After meeting a P-51 pilot at The Gathering of Eagles in 2007, I changed it to ESears in honor his name, Elmo Sears.  Seems we had a destiny of sorts since my preferred nose art is the flag draped damsel "Maiden America", and his WW2 pony was named "American Maid" done in flag colors.

And now you have.... the rest of the story.  Good day.

Twelve (TWELVE!?! OMG!) years ago when I started playing WarBirds 1.xx the game had just switched from 4 character call signs to 6 character ones, if you had less than six characters a dash was used as a place holder.  I tried choosing various player IDs but it seemed everything was taken.  It might have been indigestion but I suddenly thought of the greasy spoon truck stop I had eaten at that day (Jocko's Restaurant) and typed in 'jocko-' and it was accepted.  When AH1 started up I decided to check it out and logged in as 417jocko (417 RCAF was my squad in WB).  Ended up taking a hiatus from online flying for a few years but signed up with AH2 just over a year ago and here I still am.  <S>

That 'other C word" being the worst four letter word one could possibly lay upon a woman?
