Last, just because the plane rolls to the left doesn't mean its the roll axis spiking!
Torque will roll you left regardless of which axis it is.
In Aces High, esc, options, controls, map controllers, highlight one axis at a time, click advanced.
Watch the raw and scaled data. Start with very minor wiggles in the center slop, and slowly work the stick more and more. If you see a SPIKE you've probably found your axis.
If not go on to the next.
If it happens near the center, just add a bit of deadband.
If deadband is set correctly you should be able to "Twirl" the stick in the center slop area, without seeing a spike in the raw data. Yet once you push the stick into the spring, you should have input.
