I've noticed one of the ME109s (I think it's the G2 model) with swastika's on the wings. Is this a Finnish unit marking of some kind? I don't ever recall swastika's as part of the standard Luftwaffe markings.

It is Finnish. Purty blue.

Yes.. its Finnish.
Couple distinctive differences:
Its usually blue on white background (hrmm, always)
Its angled at 90 degrees, when nazi swastika is at 45 degrees (someone could say this better than me)
Like you noticed, you don't even see nazi swastika that much tagged around

I believe standard Luftwaffe markings did have the swastika on the tail only. This surprised me because it was on the wings. I did notice that it was cocked at a different angle which is why I asked if it was Finnish. Thanks for the answer all.

BTW:
Heres a replica of FAF's first plane; Morane Parasol (Donated by swedish count Von Rosen whos sign that blue swastika was) which was licence made by Swedish Thulin factories.
Oh yes; FAF used that swastika way before nazis.
