Wolverine

Ok, I just have one question:

How can a movie about one of the angriest, grittiest and most violent bad-asses in comic books end up rather...dull?

There was too much angst and not enough snarling and claws. Gambit was a great shout out to fans who were disappointed they didn't work him into the three X-men movies, (actually, I know a lot of people who were outright PISSED they left Gambit out) but while I'm NOT a comic book reader I'm still geek enough to know they totally butchered Deadpool (I was really hoping for the Fourth Wall to get ripped a new one). The helicopter scene was really as cheesy as it looked in the trailer, and a lot of the SFX leaned towards the subpar. They did an ok job integrating it into the "movie universe," but considering X3 that's not necessarily a good thing....

Jackman is still the perfect Wolverine, but there were a LOT of missed opportunities. It was still not the worst comic book adaptation to come out of Hollywood, but they could have done a LOT better.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
