left game on overnight to see if I would disco which it did. My question is if you are on and do not do anything in a certain time period will you be disconnected  by the game itself.



Also what does this mean? Does it give any insight into what happened?

Driver related, I just need to see the DXDIAG output (email).  If it is heat, opening the computer and allowing a fan to blow inside the case should absolve that issue.  Power is a bit trickier.

Most end users do not have the tools to properly check a power supply.  You need load resistors (4 or 5 100W resistors), a watt meter, and a volt meter.

The only other way for an end user to test a power supply is to swap it out.  You can look at the system BIOS and check what is shows the voltage levels are for the various rails, but that is only good for power supplies that are really dieing an ugly death.
