Niki MAP
« on: May 02, 2009, 04:04:31 PM »
While flying the Niki the other day I noticed that the map would creep up,as you climb the map will drop but as you go level the MAP will creep up somewhat.I wish I could remember the alts and Map but I can't,needless to say I found this unussual and I wonder if this is a bug or not.I'd also add the prop RPM seems to be off aswell, again going into a climb the rpm drops off to 2100 or so and even engaging wep wont bring it to Mil spec nevemind the full Wep speed off 2900.

It's probably modeled. Some planes had worse cooling while in climb angles and overheated, requiring lower levels during extended climbs.

Considering the N1K2 has a long cowling with the engine set far back inside it, it may be a simple matter of heat limitations.

EDIT: Unless you're talking about flying above its full throttle height. Above that you'll lose power and not be able to get full speed/power because the engine is above peak altitudes.
