I wonder if there's something that everyone might be missing....

How many people do you actually see in other than the 2 LW Arena's? 10 people? 20?

Does that tell you anything about numbers? If folks really wanted to go into small arena's be it big or small sized maps then why don't we see even numbers across the board? Hmmm, there's more people flying in the DA on most nights than in the other arenas.

As silly as it seems you might find alot of people would actually like to be meet each other in one big arena and have fun there iso waiting until they numbers to get in "change".

Ref limited capture. What's wrong with winning a war? There are many people with that as their nightly objective. If that's what floats their boat, why not if it gives them a reason to come in and play. Just because I don't happen to jump up and down when someone sets up a mission to take a field doesn't mean its not alot of fun for many other folks.

While it won't happen it's interesting to note that someone like NB might be able to actually build a map that had a large area for the big wars, seperated by an ocean which goes to another area that has a DA area, again seperated by another ocean that has a mid war area, etc. Even a dedicated GV area BESIDES the normal GV field at all the fields. Everyone shows up in one arena then goes and does their thing. Simply do away with arenas that only have 10-20 peope in them in favor of one big one in which they can still fly their planesets. I'd bet it's not much more difficult than having the upkeep on the multiple arena's. It's a simple affair to only allow certain type planes at certain fields. Ah well....wishful thinking.

If you are responding to my talk of limited capture, I was suggesting the two LW arenas include one that's geared to winning the war, and one that's limited capture.  Not trying to stop anyone from anything, just playing to the different crowds.  I think it might develop to seperate communities that can overlap but develop differently is all.

 One reason I don't hang out long in Mid-War is 5 to 10 people can control Game play. Going after easy targets. If it was Different from the MA ( Town down in 5 min base taken in 10 ). Off to the other undefended base rinse repeat. I think thats more the reason people don't hang out in there then any other

  I'm just curious as to when, if ever this arena capping system is going to be taken away, or
at least set to numbers which could perhaps be justified (cough).
  It's Thursday afternoon on the East coast, 1PM, and we've got the usual Titanic
Tuesday mess for a map. There are 134 people in the entire arena, yet I can't log
into it because it's capped.
  My options are another full sized arena with 20 folks in it, spread over three countries,
or the midwar arena with all six pilots in there.

Maybe have a similar based squad night in the AVA. Like seeing if 2 base taking squads or furballers want to go at it. And full plane set. I myself would have fun with a midway map. Would be hilarious to see some of those 60+ member squads go at it.
