P51-C and P51-B Variants please - i beg you...
« on: October 26, 2000, 08:30:00 PM »
I would give my right arm and left testicle to be able to fly the P51-C in AH. With all the talk of P51-H and perk planes, we are overlooking updating the *base* planeset. The LW have 4 different 109 models and 2 different 190 models covering a good time period. I think we should have at the very least a P51-C with the bubble hood.

P51C had less power than the P51-D but climbed better and turned better and was a whopping 2 miles an hour faster max speed.

It would take over from the D model as my mainstay - how many can say they'd go back in time to an older model plane?

Come on HTC - give us at least one variant to the P51-D thats non-perked.

It's not being overlooked.  It's an inevitable plane, based on it's value in events alone.  When we do it, throw the testicle to the dog, I don't want it.

No prize!

Both P-51B and P-51C were Mustang III to the RAF

P-51 = Mustang I, or Ia with 4x20mm
P-51A = Mustang II
P-51D/K = Mustang IV

Hi

Oh no you guys wouldn't want the P51B it had poor firepower and bad visibility, It would just be slaughterd in the arena at the altitudes we most fight in. Thats why you guys better ask for something different, Im just informing you of this to spare you fellas the dissapointment if you finally get it.   Sound familiar?   But seriously I agree we need it as soon as possible painted olive drab and gray, It was the plane that broke the LWs back in early 44 and is thus very very important to have. Imagine a scnenario of 51B/C escorting B17s and fighting it out with G6s and 190A5s or A6s. It would be great. BTW funked nice picture

thanks GRUNHERZ

I want the P51-C not the B model, cause the C outperforms the D model   except it only had 4 50 cals   but i could live with that.

BTW, the later C models could get the bubble hood like the D

You sure the P-51B shouldn't look like this?

That way it would be from the same FG as the -51D (which is a damn beautiful plane I might add)

B and C are the same plane, just from a different factory.  Same for D and K.

Well, we must not forget tthe reason why 5 variants of LW fighters exist: there are NO other planes!

Allied US superdweebs have zillions to choose from, LW do not  .

Not to spoil our your mustangy fun...

But someday I'm sure HTC will get around to a P47 Razorback as well. SHweeeeeeet.    Maybe a C.  Although an XP-47J would be cool.
