My Phone
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:48:38 PM »
Well, a long time back, my mom took off the intardnet to my phone (seems like AT&T is the only one who charges for intardnet), and I've been stuck with the same ringtone for over 6 months  :lol

Is there anyway that I can find a website that isn't a virus where I can have them like text the ringtone to my phone or something of the sort?

 :salute

Can't you just hook your phone up to the computer and download it?

I tried, but it requires that you buy and use Microsoft Outlook Express Email or something like that. Which I'm not going to use anyways...

I'm sure you can send to your phone, and it's safe to use.

Mine came with a sync USB cable that plugs into the computer. Shows up as a drive under My Computer and its a breeze to put new rings on it

Is your phone 300 years old?

Does it have a sync cable?

Does it have a removable storage card?

If it has any of those you should be able to put an .mp3 on there without using the internet at all.

Perhaps you should tell us what sort of phone it is? If it has the internet on it, it can't be so cheap as to not be able to store songs, right?

I use a music editing program to chop songs up to make ring tones.

Just import the song, chop the bit you want, save it and transfer it.

If you have a data cable for your phone (cellphoneshop.net has everything) you can upload ringtones with BitPim ( http://www.bitpim.org/ ) which is free to download (donationware). You can also add animations (AH Films too) to your cellphone and if you have a program for sound editing you can clip your own ringtones. Go with the blackberry if you can.  :aok
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I have a Pantech Duo, and it's a really good phone (apparently water proof, throw up proof, and me throwing it against a wall proof) and I've had it since September.

But, I cannot put anything on my phone unless I install, buy, and pay for Microsoft Office...  :( It won't even show up as a drive... it pisses me off  :cry

Here's the easiest way:

1) Create a new text on your phone. Say whatever you want, or nothing. Doesn't matter.

2) When you go to send, select enter a new number/e-mail.

3) Enter your e-mail address in the destination field.

4) Send.

5) Open your e-mail.

6) Select the e-mail sent from your phone.

7) Reply with the desired ringtone attached.

8) Send.

9) Open the text you receive on your phone.

10) While viewing the message, select options.

11) Select "Save Media".

12) Save.

Done.

I did this with my own phone. It works with hotmail, aol mail, yahoo, anything. You can send text messages to and from cell phones this way as well. Works with all phones I have ever tried and all phone plans.
