I hate to say it but I'm surprised my Raiders haven't made him an offer.  Hope Al Davis doesn't see this!

I think this would be a bad move for the Vikings. Farve has seen his best days and would only be hurting the Vikings. I heard that one of the reasons for coming back is to get back at the Packers for letting him go and I don't see how this does it. Minn. is only looking at the name of the player.

It has nothing to do with the Vikings seeking him out.  Other sources have quoted him as saying he wants revenge on the Packers etc.  I'm not sure if any of that is true, but we all know he had interest in wanting to play with the Vikings last season before being shipped to New York.

I've stood on Favre's side for most of the time, especially last year.  But that's a different story.

He really does want to stick it to Ted Thompson, and if that is the driving motivation (not to play again) but to play for the Vikings, I've lost a lot of my Green and Gold blood respect for him.  I was there freezing my bellybutton off at the NFC championship game against the Giants and was at least proud to see his last game in Green Bay.  He used to say stuff in interviews that there's nothing like throwing a TD at Lambeau.  I used to believe he really loved the fans of Green Bay, but that dream is quickly fading.

Side note, for those sick of reading Favre's stories and the 'drama,' you only have to look towards the AP, ESPN, FOX etc etc for that coverage.  They're the ones writing 50 stories a day on it plastering on your sports newspaper or your news website.  In this situation, please God, kill the messengers.

GO VIKINGS first off. And i think all he can do is help. Tavaris Jackson and John David Booty can learn a ton from Farve. Jackson has a simlar

playing style as farve (in his early years). Farve proved last year he could still be a big time player in the leaguge. The jets did nearly make it to the

playoffs on his arm.

Can't be much worse than any other move the Vikes have made in the last 30 years.  They haven't been to the Superbowl since they built that stupid dome.

To see so much talent cycle through that club and they could never get it all together when necessary.

Man isn't Farve giving up millions of endorsments from the Packers? Just heard he's meeting with Vikings Headcoach today or tomorrow. Good for

him ,Jets weren't a fit for him last year anyway. Vikings vs Packers, bump that game to Monday night. :rock  down, down, down, packers goin down. :P

We have Tavaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfels, and John David Booty as our current options at quarterback.
throw into the mix we have Childress as a head coach (There is a reason he wasnt allowed to call plays in Philadelphia)

Adding Favre would hurt the Vikes how?

Vikes actually have a pretty decent offensive cast. What is needed is a competent quarterback (and head coach)
Favre would be a huge upgrade in the QB Dept.
Hell a Pop Warner mighty mite QB would be a huge upgrade at QB

I'm not a football fan at all, but I'm sick of hearing about this guy.

Make a decision to do something, then do it.  End of story.

If he makes the move to the Vikings (of all teams), I will have lost any respect for the man!  IMHO, He's doing it out of spite.

Feeling wronged can be a powerful motivator......I just wish, as TxMom said, he wasnt so indecisive.

If he wasnt sure he wanted to come back he should have said, "I dont know."
