Where are my screenshots?
« on: May 06, 2009, 06:08:56 AM »
I have taken several screen shots and can't seem to find them on my pc. Where do they default download to? I'm running vista if that matters.

HTC folder if you took them in-game.

If you take the screen shots in-game using the keyboard key combination (Alt + S, I believe) they will be saved into the folder where you installed Aces High. By default that location is, "C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\"

One note, if AH is installed in that folder location, and you're using Vista, move the entire Aces High II folder to a different location such as, "C:\Games\HTC\" This will help the game to run better.

Yes. Vista snoops on anything running from the Program Files folder. Occasionally it will also move around files of anything running in the Program Files folder. Therefore if you're running Aces High, suddenly it slows down a little because Vista feels it needs to keep an eye on the game. Next you start encountering some odd effects because Vista feels it needed to move around some game files.

While you may not have encountered it, it is happening. So the smart decision (if you're using Vista) would be to move the game's folder (Aces High II) to a completely different folder such as: C:\Games\HTC\

Are you not finding them or can you not take any? If you can't find them, try searching for: ahss1.bmp (system search for all files and folders). If that doesn't turn up anything, simply record your sortie then take screen shots from the film.

<S> thank you sir, I will try that.  I really don't have many problems, anything that will help is always appreciated.  If it does something in which I dislike, I can always move it back to "Program Files", right?

Thanks for the help.  :aok I moved the file and now I see the screenshots. Only thing with moving the file is I have to reset all the parameters with in the game. That kind of sucks but it won't take long to fix. Thanks for the quick help.  :salute
