i've seen in a dogfighter post that 88mm makes flak clouds and i see nothing ... of course i see ack climbs more high but it's all, no scharpnel clouds, nothing...

anyone have explanations ?

It's there. Fly over A1 and see for yourself.

Is it only A1? Or any base that has the approriate calibre (and which calibre would that be? 90mm, 88mm, 105mm?) ?

The flak is incredibly awesome! Talk about immersion! Took 4 B17's to Bish HQ, Drill, Mox, Tripper and myself. Close formation, I was lead, and alittle low, so ack puffed at me first. I took a hit right after bombs gone first run, so I jinxed, after extending about 4-6 miles, ack stopped. Reversed and make second run, Tripper lost an engine, I recieved more hits, but no substantial damage. Was too friggin' cool!

It's only at the multiple runway airfields I think. It's meant to be 88mm.

I was surprised when that flak started exploding around us.. it was awesome! I was 90 away from Rip when we dropped and I could see flak above me, below me, and between us, it was a nice pucker factor!

I never got any damage from the Flak on that run, so I continued to fly through it (3 times I think) and still no damage, then I got dumped to the desktop.

Rip, I think I recorded that flight, I'll check but and see, might be some really good shots of the flak.
