FOOTBALL FANS not the NFL

  Im curious to who is a football fan.   my club is fighting to stay alive in the PREMIER LEAGUE ....... TOON ARMY!!  NEWCASTLE!! and im prayin they stay up in top flight football.  btw im also an american which suprises alot of people who are from the other side of the pond.

I'm here in Illinois but I still watch 4 or 5 live games a week. I'm originally from Wigan so always look for them but I enjoy watching Man Utd play, so far this season I have every game they have played on DVD.

What is all this hogwash I'm hearing? 
There are only 3 sports:
-Football (American...is there another?!)
-Hockey
-Golf

Ok four if you include virtual badminton, but there are WAY too many injuries the classify this as a sport, more like a masochistic  slaughter-feast

I never knew why Soccer never kicked in throughout the states.  Too man low scores, not enough violence or not enough drama? 
With golf, many guys can say Ooo yea that WAS nice because they can related directly.
Football, well it speaks for itself
Hockey , so does this.  The hits, the glory of the score, the beautiful plays STUFF by an excellent goal tender.

But soccer...just...always seemed SO slow moving for me. Dunno.  Like watching golf if I didn't golf I guess.

Man U , and Aresenal.  Only thing I hate about football is when you push someone, they go flying in the air,and lie on the ground like their wounded or something.  I'm watching american hockey right now. missing teeth and blood. They play to win. If I was english, I probably would of played rugby, till i got nailed by a brickwall. ouch.

The strongest team in the league , thats because they are usually at the bottom of the table holding it up .They get any higher than middle of the table they get nose bleeds from the altitude

mufc all the way, some of the dodgy champions league refs need kicking out tho. lots of bad decisions with man utd/arsenal and chelsea/barcelona.

Not a fan of Futbol, but I have been forced to watch it several times. I had an agreement with the ex that I would watch her soccer without complaint if she would watch my baseball with the same courtesy.

Nothing specific against it, its just not my game. I also loathe basketball and hockey- different games for different folks.

newcastle are sooo getting relegated with that clueless shearer and useless crop of players. joey barton was just the icing on the cake. i cant believe he got signed, i was laughing... laughing laughing laughing.

I support  Pompey  / Portsmouth. 

Whilst we should be safe from relegation this year things could get tricky next season.  Newcastle believe themselves to be a big club so it will be cool to see them get relegated.

Plus it will annoy Trev
