I just wonder, what is the difference between AMD 1GHZ Athlon and AMD 1GHZ Thunderbird ?

They even got the same price.

Thunderbird has the cache in the processor itself. Athlon has this cache into the black box, but not into the processor. So, expect a better performance in Thunderbird.
