I dont know why, but its just been this way....forever. Just like the destroyed flap is actually a jammed flap :(.
I guess they want you to have a "I'm hurt, come kill me" sign trailing behind you.... :lol

Good idea.  If the fuel is gone then no more "come here all you bad guys and kill me" streamer behind your plane.
