Wow, look at the positive response for cloud cover.

I, by the way, happen to completely agree.

Now, why is HTC so vehemently opposed to allowing more cloud cover in the main arenas? All we want is moving fronts, such as is pictured. Is this unreasonable?

Do you really want immersion? Wouldn't it be nice if there was one arena (one of dem unsed ones :) ) where the tails and noses of the planes were painted a country color? But that was it! No distance readout or plane type. You see the dot you close with it, you visually ID type and variant and you also visually ID country. If it's not your country...have fun!!! :)

What's cool about it is plane types don't have to be country specific like Axis or Allied. The plane you encounter is either your countryman or a bandit. All of a sudden aspect and your views are everything...Kinda like "the way it was".

Fog is fun for the fight, but tough on the CPU :(

Ren I think this could be feasible but each country would have to have viciously ugly and bright colors, (Neon Green, orange, and pink, for example)  since a computer screen (esp low end machines) is in no way comparable to real life visibility -- particuarly at distance.  If done correctly, it could be fun in one of the arenas.  Would definately be turning my tracers back on for it :)

I always try to Gv in that fog bank, would be very very cool for a great GV fight but it is always waaaaaaaaaay to laggy :(

That's funny, because all I had to do was sit in my Wirbel with my engine off to get my proxies.  Heck I even had a couple of smoke breaks! :D

Probably the same reason they are so opposed to night fighting in the MA.  Let us know when you find out what that reason is.  :)

In the last Snapshot scenario the arena went from daylight to dusk to night.  Not the half-arsed kind you see in the MA...the sky was dark blue bordering on black.  It was a blast.  Con dots could still be spotted...the only trick was differentiating them from stars.
