We (13Th) were tasked with fighter escort duty for the allies...
Target: A40
Squads: (13TH), spit 8's
(Joker Jokers) spit 9's
(Claim Jumpers) b25's and spit's
We all rallied around 8-9-something, then blasted forward into a40.
Multiple foofighters preceded to haunt us till we reached enemy soil. Lots of range 'what is thats' seemed to happen. We all kinda formed a high bubble over our bombers then the 109's came in. I think they were the swampdragons'. The enemy took their shots on the bombers then were pressed out, or down from our b25's..
Next: A group (no more than 8 ) of 110's came in, head-on at the bombers. Was a great fight for a while. Most of the enemy was pushed down b4 our bombers released.
Was some low alt fighting as we crossed over 40.
Perhaps the enemy had low numbers at 40, however it was a great recreation of The HIgh Blue Battle for me..
