I cant help but feel dirty..

Ive always flown planes that are "not easy" (in noob terms)  Jugs, 190A5, Yak, 38, 109F... etc etc...   planes that are effective and lethal (especially the yak) but not typically easy to get kills in for a new player.. I did this out of necessity, having flkow bish a LONG time, I was never too thrilled about the idea of getting really good in a 5 eny ride, only to not be able to use it when needed most, so I stick strictly to 20+ eny planes.

But today Ive been flying the Spit 9.. and I love it, but.. its a forbidden love... like a really really hot 2nd cousin. 

I like how it feels, how it reacts to inputs.. its not so much its performance numbers. but that it behaves the way I feel it will.. Its hard to explain..

I'm having a conflict within..  its 20ENY.. so.. but its a spit..  but its not the best turning, fastest, or best armed... it short legs It has plenty of shortcomings, and is not "spuer fantastic l337 dawg" like some other planes (appear)

spits get no love.


But I think its ok, I own my spit guilt, it doesent own me.  I can stop flying it any time I want.  Just not today.. tomorrows not looking good either.

Of all the Spits the 9 is the one I like. I do use the 5 on occasion (mainly base defense). I haven't ever felt comfortable with the others. I don't seem to jump in them much anymore but I do still stop the cursor over them when in the hanger choosing my weapon.

The 9 is a great plane.  Fly what you like and don't follow the crowd.  You'll appreciate your accomplishments more.  Anyone can land a few kills in a pony or Spit 16.  But the ENY of 20 plus, that's some decent flying and there's nothing to be embarrassed about.

Yeh, your Spit 9 has made mincemeat of my Spit 5 a few times recently. 

But in all seriousness, I say keep upping that Spit. I have flown a Spit XVI a few times recently, and for some reason I can't live nearly as long and have far fewer kills in the Spit XVI than I can normally get in a Spit 5.
