Transfering perks
« on: May 11, 2009, 08:34:01 PM »
How many of you actually use bomber perks?
There is only 1 perked bomber, and it can carry only 3 500kg bombs.

I think it would be a good idea to be able to transfer perks between categories, or just delete all categories and all the perks you collect will go into one pile.

what do you guys think?

6 perks for M-3/C-47 base resupply.  The only "risk" most of the time is time.

Like you said, perks are easy enough to get as it is.

Considering 99% of the bomber sorties would be considered tactical missions and not strategic, this isn't a bad idea. Might get the tactical (i.e. the medium bombers) used a bit more.

I fly the 17s 24s and lancs... I could absolutely go for minor perking on them.

Actually I think it would be better to just perk the 17s and 24s at about 3-5 a piece (9-15 a formation) and lancs at 1-3 a piece (3-9 a formation).

With those numbers, you could pretty much make back any perks you spent just by being successful and returning to base 50% of the time.

I also agree, the tactical bombers would get used more.  And essentially if you bomb with any regularity, your Bomber Perks will more than support a 17s or 24s fetish.

If you count Bf110, P47, P-38L, F4U-D, Mossie as tactical bombers... yes ;)

In a post a few weeks ago, I suggested perking bomb loadouts.

I feel that a base can be shut down too easy and for free.  I think there is a value that should be placed on premium load-outs such as 1k and 2k bombs.  :salute

that would be great, people would stop dive bombing GVs with lancs

Easiest thing to do would be to model perk bombers that are worth spending perks over.

That might be the best thing to do, but it certainly wouldn't be the easiest. And besides, what bombers (besides the B-29) would be more perk worthy than the heavies we already have in the game?
