This is merely my opinion, but I think it would be interesting to see an IL-10 in AH. It was similar (maybe a deritive?) to the IL-2. I'll post specs on it later tonight/tommorow.

The Il-10 was a very much refined design over the Il-2, with far better handling and performance.  I have read that it was good enough to have given fighter planes a very hard time at low level (particularly with that rear 12.7mm or 20mm gun) but it generally didn't because the pilots weren't trained in air combat.

The forward-firing guns were 23mm.  From memory, there were usually two powerful VYa guns but later models had four of the lower-velocity NS-23.

Thanks for the amendments to my specs. I wasn't sure if I had the armaments right. Needless to say, the plane would work a bomber over in a hurry if it got one under it's guns.

wasn't it something like 80mph faster than the il2?  That alone would make it a extremely useful attack plane in the MA.
