Mic/Soundcard/Mute issues.
« on: May 14, 2009, 05:47:33 PM »
I have had to do a minor overhaul to this system due to my hard-drive taking a dive..
Not sure exactly what my issue is here...  I plugged in the mic to my Soundblaster Audigy 2 card..  When the mic is not muted, I can hear myself in AH when I tune to myself(echos due to talk-back).  However, when I mute the mic in WindowsXP, I do not hear myself in AH.  It should still play-back my voice when it's muted even though there is not talk-back through the headphones/speakers as it has in the past.  So, what gives?  This has always worked normally for me..  Now, I have no clue..  My Audigy2 is of the SB0060 variety..

Are you asking why you don't hear yourself when you speak into the microphone or why the microphone isn't working after you mute it?

Sorry, your question simply isn't clicking on this end.
