CV group on land
« on: May 20, 2009, 02:00:32 PM »
Yesterday this rogue CV did what it wanted to do, including seemingly sailing through land.  We were engaged in a cv vs airfield battle and I notice a second CV headed into our battle.  I attempted to turn it away but would not allow me.  When I attempted to set course, the course plotter did not recognize the CV was actually in its visual location.  The plotter suggested the CV was very near the port of origin, many grid squares away.

The to everyone's amazement and amusement, the CV passed through the enemy airfield.  The battle paused since any uppers were immediately pummeled by CV ack.  The CV continued through the mountain and beyond.

A squaddie that just logged on from being discoed could not see the CV icon and after joining me, he could not see the CV but only a little 'pilot man' as I was in the 8".

Red guys needed sticky bombs since torpedoes wouldn't work.

How many free kills did you get?

I wonder what the enemy was thinking?  :rofl
