This Ki-61 is 244th Sentai CO Teruhiko Kobayashi's No. 4424 Ki-61-1d.

Aces High's Ki-61 paint scheme is Kobayashi's No. 3295 Ki-61-1c. It has 5 B-29 kill marks.

Ugrh, Pyro says he simulates Ki-61-1d.
But paint scheme is Ki-61-1c's.

I'm confused.

It IS a Ki-61-Id, but they goofed on the paintjob. There's probably a good reason. Maybe they couldn't get good colour references for No. 4424?

Mitsu...Near as I can tell from posts by HTC staff it appears to be:

Pyro-  Ki-61-I-KAIc, with 2 Ho-5 20mm cannon in the cowling, 2 12.7mm mg in the wings.

Superfly- Ki-61-1c

Guess its a Ki-61-1c with the Ho-5's in the snoot and mg's in the wings.

At least now we'll have a Japanese plane that doesn't look like a piece of junk.   I'll probably even fly it sometimes, and usually I wouldn't be caught dead in something with a meatball on it.

ALso, nobody will be screaming to perk it.

KI-61 is a good addition.
