It is under your controllers at bottom should be mouse and there is a slider to adjust it.

Where exactly?  Only thing I can find is sensitivity for the X and Y axes under advanced which only seems to work as a controller rather than the cursor on screen.

Thanks

The game has no controls for cursor speed.  We use whatever cursor position Windows gives us.

Are you using a hi speed gaming mouse??
If so you might want to slow it down, better yet try an old roller mouse should slow things down all by itself....LOL

I just ran into this problem today on my Dad's new computer.  It's odd.  It's a wireless mouse that runs through a dongle plugged into a USB port.

I can set the mouse speed (i.e., cursor speed) to be tolerable in Windows Vista by going into the control panel, selecting the "mouse", and playing with the pointer speed slider.  But when I get into Aces High, the mouse movement is way too fast.

I know AH is just using what Windows gives it, as Skuzzy said, so it's some screwed up Vista thing, probably with different layers of code, with native being fast, then some higher layer of code taking the fast native input and transforming it into slower movement before you see it on the Windows desktop.  Yet AH might be given something lower down before the translation?  Who knows.

Ug.  I'm new to Vista (don't have it at home).  Vista devices seem to tend to have a blizzard of settings, different ways to get to the behaviour of the device, etc.

If I figure out how to fix it, I'll post the info here.

If the game is running at a different resolution than the desktop is set to, the mouse speed will change. It's like mouse speed is rated in "pixels per second," ie a larger resolution will slow it down and a smaller one will speed it up.

I think I have both set to 1024x768.

I think it has to do with my Dad using a wireless mouse that probably has more DPI resolution than a normal mouse.  It might depends on what Vista outputs as an API call -- movement prior to any Windows scaling or post Windows scaling.

I've done some searching on it, and such issues show up sometimes in other games as well, where pointer speed in Windows is OK but pointer speed in the game is fast.  I'm still researching it -- we'll see if I find anything of use.
