I would like to see bomber drones limited to the type’s top speed when closing up a formation.
As it currently stands, a formation moving at top speed can get separated by quite a distance and, as long as the maximum distance has not been reached, the drones still catch up with the lead ship; often warping while they do. This should not be possible unless the lead ship throttles back and allows the drones to catch up. If the lead ship continues to maintain full speed, the drones should not be able to close the distance and the formation should remain out of position.
Note that this is not a request to limit the top speed of the bombers. While I feel having bombers, particularly in formation, flying at speeds well above what they normally flew during missions takes away from the reality factor, I feel it would be hypocritical of me to support limiting the top speed of the bombers. I do feel it would be reasonable, however, to remove the ability of drones to catch up with a lead bomber that has destroyed the integrity of the formation through maneuvering and is still motoring away at full throttle / top speed.
