This thread makes me feel totally inadequate and completely pitiful.   

The most I've ever actually landed was 3 on two different occasions, once in a Yak-9U and once in a Spit 5.

I've killed 4 one time, but died to a Tempest while trying to rtb.

(no vulches, no proxies).

13 in a P-47D25, mostly Spits, mostly self-defense. (Mostly  )
12 in P-47sx2, F6Fx1, N1Kx1

Would re-arm but that would just be pushing the luck too hard

LOL! Exactly the same problem here - I can land anything nearly all the time except a Spitfire of any marque.... I don't know why, but I ground loop the heck out of the Spit and end up breaking my prop about 50% of the time.

Rearm in a 109? OK. Tyffie? No prob. LA? Sure! Pony? Cake walk.

Land in a Spit and I touch down nice and smooth, pillow soft landing. Then I'd better stand on the left rudder pedal because it's pulling hard right and breaking off wings and prop blades.

I actually never lower them. my crew chief doesn't like hydraulics.

I'd say you're doing pretty good having just started in late March.

Actual air to air kills was 16 for me, I usually am out of fuel or ammo by the time I hit 7-8. GV kills or vulches I have no clue how many.
Most I have seen landed would probably be Fester landing 100+ in 262s. Of course there was what's his name in the P-40B that time.
