Oh ships you are counting, I was referring to the casualties: 10.000 vs 5.000 of the Armada, but have it your way 
The Armada was composed of around 130 ships, 8,000 sailors and 18,000 soldiers. And in the Spanish Netherlands Parma's army of 30,000 soldiers waited to join the invasion fleet. When the Armada arrived Parma's army had been reduced by disease to 16,000, and of the entire Armada only about 10,000 made it back to Spain. Many of those died from diseases contracted during the voyage.
