Don't move your controls so rapidly

A wish for this to apply only when substantial G's or rolling moment are generated.

Ones I was merging with a tempest in the main arena (on my spit14), he warped, and i lost my because of the "don't move your controls so rapidly" message, I did not move them at all.

I agree.  It seems to occur at the most inopportune times.  I am not a ham fisted stick mover by any means.  I  have always tried to keep my movements smooth and controlled.

I use to get "Don't move your controls so rapidly" all the time when I used my mouse, I can only recall it happening once since I got my Stick.

I have an X52 and that happens to me from time to time.

Your stick is spiking.  Add damping to it in the in game interface.

Could you tell me how?

I would be really happy if that would work

thanks

My stick spikes all the time. When i move it from side to side and pushing the Y-Axis up it spikes all the way down into the middle. Is there anyway to fix this or do i need a new stick?

I get it at least once or twice a month and no my stick is not spiking.
All you have to do is "flutter" the roll axis about 3 or 4 times. Very quick light input then reverse.
Too many control imputes in too short a period of time triggers it. Doesn't matter how BIG the input is.

Granted, it is designed to penalize stick stirring. Where you have an enemy on your 6 and you'll do anything to try to get him to miss. But most often it penalizes me when I'm on someones 6 and have to make several small roll & pitch adjustments trying to line up a perfect shot.

Nah... the stick stirrin' and warp-rats already have it easy enough.

Try doing the spaz manouver in a real plane and see where it gets ya.  I know I'd not try it in the Cessna 150 I'm training in.  No way.

There's no reason to have it apply when the quick inputs generate no substantial acceleration.

I wish this also.  I get this from time to time when I'm in a rolling scissors and am doing rudder snap rolls with 109K4.  It seems to come in waves, haven't gotten any in a while but all of a sudden I might get 3 in a day.  I do adjust my damping and deadband to prevent spikes, this seems to help.
