"Taken"
« on: May 31, 2009, 12:56:15 AM »
Man what a cool movie! I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire movie! I find it even better than rambo! I especially liked how every time the man kills a guy, it gives you that happy feeling inside knowing the guy was a scum ball. If you like seeing scum balls dieing, this movie's for you!

It was a decent movie, but I kept being a little put off by how easily he accomplishes things, like finding out information or the right person.  Too many amazing coincidences or lucky breaks, and too many things happening that just aren't so darn easy in real life.  Stretched the limits of possibility a little too far for me.

Thats the fun part. Thinking WOW I would never be able to do that!

Of course you couldn't, if you paid attention, you would realize nobody could.  It was like a series of miracles kept occurring, handing him everything, all the clues and answers.  To be honest, it was so bogus as to make the movie plot laughable, not "fun".

Yea I made sure that I saw that in the movies. Was a great movie. I expect that it will win a couple of awards tonight at the MTV movie awards.

I saw it for the first time about 2 weeks ago, I liked it. A fun, fast paced movie. Great in the background while grading exams.

....

I was carefully avoiding this topic, until now.

As a father of two, I was living strongly a fathers pain

but

In certain way, it left a kind of feeling of the  'weak father', because I'm just a regular jack behind the desk...

Yes, it is just a movie... A good one.
