Well it is easy to laugh at things you don't understand . Suppose the creature is nocturnal , could explain why you don't see them often . Intelligent , might know enough to stay away from man . As for blurry pictures , possibly excitement mixed with fear . If you ever get rocks thrown at you in deep forest wonder what you people will think ? I am curious how much time you skeptics spend in the woods , at night ? You should look up Jeff Meldrum . One last point the patterson film has never been debunked .ftp://dasmuppets.com/hlbly/f352.jpg
ftp://dasmuppets.com/hlbly/packham1.jpg Compare these pics one is from patterson film other is from late 90's attempt to make a costume .

HB,

I've been a "fan" of Sasquatch since watching Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot  and Mysterious Monsters at the drive-inn when I was a weeee little Squeakonizer back in the
early 70's...
I have every show every broadcast on Sasquatch that aired on Coast to Coast AM...  I have numerous books, VCR tapes, DVDs, etc..  I've heard Jeff Meldrum speak in person as well as have his book and DVD Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science(both signed)..  I even met and spoke with Grover Krantz a number of times before he died..
We talked for about 20 minutes once on why he thinks Sasquatch is related to Gigantopithicus Blacki..
I'll bet I know tons more than you do about the subject.... :)

The Patterson film has absolutely been debunked (steadied frames of the Patterson film by MK.Davis are what is in my signature)..
1. Bob Heironimus wore the suit...  He walks just like in the film...
2. Phillip Morris admitted to making the suit on national television...
3. Here's a picture of the exact suit used in the Patterson film with Bob Heironimus and Phillip Morris.

I've back-packed in the Cascades and all over the Pacific Northwest for years...  I know lots of people who have as well...  I know people personally from those parts..
I used to live in Arcata...  I'm basically from there...  And the chances of Sasquatch being real are very slim...  Believe me, no one wants Sasquatch to be real more than
me...  After all these years with how many people hunt in Northern California, Oregon, and Washington: no ones ever killed one and produced a body..
Well, Tom Biscardi and two friends of his tried to with a fake body but that was an utter failure (what a con-man-tard he is)..  They sure ripped off
a good amount of people with this...  People paid money to Tom Biscardi as well his two partners to catch a glimpse of his dead Sasquatch online..
When it was discovered the body was a gorilla suit with some goat entrails laid on it, Biscardi and his partners took the money and ran..
He's banned from Coast to Coast AM for life....

The Bigfoot community is chock full of people like this guy Tom Biscardi...  He's just another incarnation of Bob Gimlin, Roger Patterson or Ray Wallace...

Blurry images are blurry on purpose so you can't really see what the thing really is (guy in a suit)..  Some of the images that have been purported to be "authentic"
are laughable...

Guys like Matt Moneymaker (fitting last name) prey on people's belief in Sasquatch to organize outings that he charges over $500.00 per person for..
There are others that do the same..  No cameras are allowed as only they equipment they supply is permitted..  On EVERY outing they have, "something"
always happens..  Whether rocks are thrown or they cries are heard or a depression in the mud being a "possible" footprint...
How convenient for "something" to always happen, huh?

The fact of the matters is, people want to believe and there is money to be made by taking advantage of this....
Is it real?  I prefer to take the agnostic approach and say that the "evidence" produced can't be taken as such so we really don't know....

http://technorati.com/videos/youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DSClOrtpu3ao meldrum on PG film . Also Sasquatch legend meets science  , shows that the mechanics of the gait are not able to be duplicated by a human .
http://www.veoh.com/group/gghjjkykk#watch%3Dv1230779PJZtdQHd

Also please post the link where he donned the suit and reproduced gait . Produce the link show showing where a scientist has debunked the film . The mystery simply cannot be "resolved once and for all" without demonstrating a reasonably close approximation of the Patterson "costume" in action.  You will have no link as there is no link . It hasn't been done though it has been tried several times  . You may know tons more about the subject than I do , though I doubt it . I LIVE in the cascade mountains , I spend a great deal of time in the woods .Including camping while gold dredging in remote seldom visited <by humans> places. As for me believeing in bigfoot , I say it is not belief , it is the fact that there is sufficient information to warrant concerted scientific study , I believe in God , not bigfoot . Although I would like to know what out there can throw rocks ,when there is no possibility it was humans ?

God, Bigfoot....  What's the difference??
May as well throw flying Spaghetti monster in there too while you're at it....

You didn't read my post obviously..  You didn't catch the part where I said I lived in "them there's parts" as well as back packed numerous times over years in the corresponding areas....  And if I remember correctly, when you were with the 80th, you said something about living somewhere else, and never once mentioned the Cascades or any parts near there..  So, I call BS there.... :D

In Legend Meets Science, the gait was reproduced, without question...  Watch again...  I don't have time to go posting links on every little bit of Sasquatch info that I find..

Something threw rocks at you in the woods...  Now you think Sasquatch exists...  How simplistic of a point of view....  How do you know there are no people there?

How do you know something did roll down a hill and land near you?

You are asking me to post links to evidence..  Frankly, I don't find this subject matter important enough to sift through all the info I have amassed over the years just to prove a point..

But, since you are so passionate on the subject matter, how about you post me a link of irrefutable evidence that Sasquatch exists...

You say you believe in the possibility that Sasquatch exists..

Fact: the existence of Sasquatch is unlikely and improbable.  if this creature existed, a dead one would've surely been found by now...
modern man has been on this Earth long enough to have been able to capture or kill one of these things so we could all see they were real...
if one was found, you can bet there'd be laws written to preserve them(some states already have them).  It is in Sasquatches benefit that we kill/capture on
to prove it exists..  Lots of guys in the Pacific Northwest have guns and lots of guys would have no issues shooting one of these things..  Especially to prove
it exists..  Man has caught, filmed, or killed
many rare animals of significantly smaller creatures that are inherently harder to find than Sasquatch..  If they existed, there would be irrefutable evidence..
However, not one shred of real hard evidence has ever been produced and more hoaxers have been caught than anything else...
People stand to make money off of BigFoot..  That's why he still "exists"...

Fact: you're 1st link doesn't work and the interview with Meldrum (which I've see before) says nothing about the"gait"..

Fact: more people stand to make money off this phenomena because all the science to prove/disprove has already been done....
Jeff Meldrum makes a good deal of money when he performs speaking engagements regarding Sasquatch..  Nothing different from what Matt Moneymaker does...

Fact: You buy into the hype easily....  Which is just what they want you to do...

Fact... I have never claimed to live anywhere but Oregon ....your faulty memory puts all of your claims in a bad light .
Fact......Several pieces of hard evidence have been found .....footprints for one .
Fact..... I don't say believe ...I say there is enough evidence to warrant concerted scientific study ....this is not a belief issue .
Fact........you can't post a link where a costume is used because it has never been done , so you skirt the issue .
Fact you make alot of statements based on assumptions, about me for one , you know nothing about me but you claim your knowledge outstrips mine ,assumption .
Fact.... I live in Lebanon Oregon , yet you claim otherwise ,once again nothing but your memory ,also claiming I buy into hype easily .
Fact.... not one link do you post to back up your claims .
When I have time I will post a map and show you how I know no humans were there .

I'm pretty comfortable in the belief that I have no idea if there are Sasquatches out there. I have had occasion to be in some pretty remote areas of the north west and have had a couple of weird experiences.

As far as Bigfoot..well that one is real. I got chased out of the Lone Jack Saloon in Sumas Washington by one a few years ago. Oddly enough, Bigfoot wears Spandex. I know, I know, I was shocked too!

My Great Uncle owned some woods north of where I lived.  My Grandpa (his brother) and I went up there all the time to hunt rabbits and trap.  One Saturday when I was 9 or 10 we pulled up in Gramdpa's old Ford pickup and they started talking.  I asked if I could go ahead and go into the woods as I was bored..  Given permission I grabbed my ole trusty lever action Daisy BB gun and went off through the gate down the path past the big ole red barn into the woods.

The woods consisted of a valley with a creek and hills to the sides with trees and brush everywhere.  As I was walking enjoying the morning, taking pot shots at trees old logs etc.. I came around a bend in the creek where it went into a gully off to the side..  As I came around the brush there in front of me was this "thing" about 10 feet from me.. It was big, shaggy and brown.. I was petrified.  I had read of Bigfoot/LockNess etc in the school library.  As it turned toward me I started doing my best John Wayne lever action impression throwing lead (BBs) down range scared spittless.

It looked at me for a second and said.. "mooooo"  Probably not overly happy with the BBs bouncing off of it (it was an old BB gun)...  I thought for sure I had ran into Bigfoot but alas it was only a rather large shaggy cow (I belatedly noticed there were several others beyond it)..

Quite shaken I stood there for a minute while the cow looked at me and I at it.  I am sure it was looking at me thinking.. Whats his problem.  I stopped my exploration and trundled back to the gate, let myself out and walked up to my Grandpa and his brother.. "Excuse me, did you know there are cows in the woods?"  Brother: "Oh yeah I forgot to tell you, we are holding them for (insert forgotten name here).  Scare you did they?"  Me: "Nahh Uncle Bill I just was wondering".  :)

My last post on this . "In Legend Meets Science, the gait was reproduced, without question...  Watch again...  I don't have time to go posting links on every little bit of Sasquatch info that I find.." Anodizer Hate to say it but you misremembered this too . It was the memorial day footage that they reproduced .  Not the Patterson Gimlin film gait .  The place where I gold mine is behind a locked gate , Berringer Timber holds the lease on it .  They don't like the fact that they have to let me in to work my claim at all , even going so far as to try to show my claim was not produceing . You would think these people own the land they way they  are about it . Small golf ball sized rocks thrown at us, HUGE rocks thrown a little upstream . I guess it could have been people , that hiked over 30 miles thru western slope cascades underbrush . This isn't scientific evidence it just served to take away almost all of my skepticism . Still have plenty for those that think if there is one it has mind control powers , or is linked to ufo's , or is some kind of transdemensional creature . Also for about 90% of the anecdotal evidence . I still maintain that there is enough evidence to do a serious , well funded study on it . As for a hunter shooting it , I think it would be harder to find than a cougar without bait or dogs.  Hope you don't hold hard feelings man , I think that intelligent people should be able to hold a civil discussion on controversial subjects with out malice . I apoligise for the way I reacted to you second post . Now one last point . UR crazy if you don't believe in the flying spagehtti monster . :lol

We can find dinosaour fossils from millions of years ago but somehow, any proof of a "living creature" can't be found (ie: where's a body or a bone?)? Not buying it.

HB, I have the DVD and watched it again just to make sure I know what I'm talking about..  You are totally right..  What I'm talking about where they reproduce the gait is not on that DVD, but it is on Nat Geo's "Is It Real"..  They also show Esteban Sabiento (however you spell it) showing how easy it is to make completely realistic tracks that show ridge patterns on the skin..
All the stuff that points to Sasquatch can be easily reproduced as they show..  Ray Wallace walked around with wooden Sasquatch Feet for years making tracks, usually near construction sights where he was working at..  Roger Patterson continued to try and make money off of Sasquatch by selling some obviously faked footprints (worse than what Ray Wallace's wooden feet)
as well as supposed audio records he did by actually screaming and yelling inside an 8 ft bronze bell while holding a tape recorder..  I found the sound here----->http://bigfoot_res.tripod.com/screamhowl.wav.  The original premise of the Patterson film was to make money..  He had cancer and was flat broke..

HB, I've been a Bigfoot advocate for a long long LONG time..  I used to believe in the possibility of Sasquatch existing..  Granted I may be an armchair researcher for the most part.  I've never been on iorganized weekend expeditions or anything like that($1000 a weekend is a rip off)..  I have back-packed all over the Pacific Northwest though..  As I said, I used to live in Arcata..  It gets pretty dense out there..  I could see how people would believe things could exist that not but a few people ever see..  However, the actual evidence produced always fails..  The Skookum cast looks nothing more than an impression of the ground and is wide open to interpretation..  I'll bet if I looked hard enough, I could find a picture of Jesus in there..  The memorial day footage was shown to be a hoax..  The snow walker footage: hoax..  Supposed Bigfoot sounds have been identified as animals that actually live in the parts where they were recorded..
Again, this is stuff I've read over the years both pro and con to the existence of Sasquatch...  The evidence does not bode well especially with how people have begun to capitalize on this phenomena in such a horrible way (charging people crazy amounts of money for nothing more than a few nights in the woods in some various state)..  You can thank guys like Matt Moneymaker of the BFRO (Bigfoot Research Organization) and Tom Biscardi for that..  As I've gotten older and able to actually look at this phenomena from an objective point of view, I take the agnostic approach..  It's possible, but not likely..
