FSO: Operation Husky - Sides and Objectives
« on: June 01, 2009, 01:13:25 PM »
I am sorry for the delay, I had a real life situation that happened last week and that I was still dealing with through this weekend.

The sides have been picked for both sides and the contact people per each squad should have received and email with the objectives for their sides (PDF) and a map for frame 1.

The special rules section of the PDF sent out trumps any rules posted on AHevents.org for this FSO. Besides assigning min and max plane numbers the one major change is that formations for bombers on both sides will be off. This is reflect the nature of the MTO which did not have large bomber assets. That said I assign a minimum number of bombers per side that must be used.

I will start working on Frame 2 now. Just a little more testing but seems like the 75mm HE round can take out other armor ... CM testing shows it can take out a M8. So I am still working on the amphibious invasion portion of this FSO for frame 2. Right now probably a mix of LVT2s and LVT4s with Destroyer fire support versus Shore batteries (if I can find a good location on the map) and M8s. That is the idea in progress .. 70% put together.

Just curious, will the SB hardness or the DD hardness be the same of the MA or will they be readjusted to an equal type playing feild?

Hardness on all objects, field guns, hangars, ships are MA norm. I delineated in the objectives sent to the command staff of each squad the ordinance in lbs needed to kill the objective.
