I’m looking for WWII Kill Board photo’s…
« on: June 02, 2009, 04:34:10 PM »
The only photo’s of actual Kill Boards are the ones that the VF-17 Jolly Rogers had.

Would any of you gents have more examples of kill boards from WWII?  Preferably USN.

Sorry, don't have any USN kill boards. If you're interested here are some interesting ones I've run across.

Theodor Weissenburger of 7./JG5, Bf 109G, really cool.

Heinz Knoke of 5./JG11, Bf 109G

Werner Moelders of JG53, Bf 109F

Guenther Specht, with Kurt Tank (pointing at the board), of II/JG11, Bf 109G

Ilmari Juutilainen with his Brewster Buffalo

I'm partial to this one.

Sorry Motherland & Treize69, I should have been more explanatory.

Kill Boards with emphases on "Boards".

Here is an example of what I am looking for; but it is not exactly the one I had in mind.  I know there are vast differences between the USN kill boards, I would like to see em. :)

I have a very good one from the RAF, and if you drop me an email I'll send it to you.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I would guess "decoy"?  I've seen a duck used for decoy on B-24's before where they flew missions over the North Sea to show up on enemy radar and then RTB.
