Looks like a rendering. Some people at Blender communities will make a bunch of 3D objects for artwork competitions. This could have been something similar.

I would hate to be the mechanic on that one. That has to be one of the most maintance intense helicopter around, if it is for real.

It's not. The picture comes from a website used by a lot of 3D artists. In fact, the picture I showed of the rendering of a car was posted to the exact same website. If you're wondering what I mean with, "rendering" it simply means the image you are seeing is a creation made in 3D design software which was firstly created, then painted, then rendered using the camera angle at which you see the picture.

What you saw there was the Mi-12, a real (museum piece) helicopter, not the fantasy chopper loosely based on the Mi-12 that Straffo posted.

It was done for an internet scam - quite a few (stupid) people invested money in it.
